COLLECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION
At Algonquin Farms, we intend to give you as much control as possible over your personal information. In general, you can visit this site without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. In order to deliver the highest level and type of service you expect from us, there are times, however, when we may collect both personal and non-personal information from you. It is our intent to let you know before we collect information from you on the Internet. Information we collect will be entered into our contact database. It will be used periodically to provide you with information about industry news, product information and offers from Algonquin Farms and its partners.
Personal Information Collected
If you choose to give us personal information via the Site, we collect basic contact information (such as your name, mailing and e-mail address) and some demographic information (such as your zip code, age and gender). The information request form may change from time to time. It is our intent to let you know how we will use such information. If you tell us that you do not wish to have this information used as a basis for further contact with you, we will respect your wishes and delete your information from our database. We keep track of the domains from which people visit us. We analyze this data for trends and statistics, and then we discard it.
Traffic Data Collected
When you visit the Site, we automatically receive records and information on our server logs from your browser such as: IP address; (ii) domain server; (iii) access times; (iv) referring Web site addresses; and (v) the Internet service provider ("ISP") used to access the Site in order to perform troubleshooting (i.e. to help diagnose problems with our server) or administer our Site.
We have implemented appropriate technical and managerial procedures to maintain information that is accurate, current, and complete. If you provide us notice that your personal information is inaccurate, we will make a sincere effort to update and correct such information in a timely manner.
Algonquin Farms does not want to receive confidential or proprietary information from you through our Site. Please note that any information or material sent to Algonquin Farms will be deemed NOT to be confidential. By sending Algonquin Farms any information or material, you grant Algonquin Farms an unrestricted, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, display, perform, modify, transmit, and distribute such information or material, and you also agree that Algonquin Farms is free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how, or techniques that you send us for any purpose. However, we will not release your name or otherwise publicize the fact that you submitted materials or other information to us unless: (a) we ask your permission to use your name; or (b) we first notify you that the materials or other information you submit to a particular part of this site will be published or otherwise used with your name on it; or (c) we are required to do so by law or regulation.
E-mail and Direct Mail Marketing
We engage in e-mail and direct mail marketing. E-mail or direct mail address lists for these marketing campaigns are compiled from information voluntarily provided by you and based upon information gathered from Algonquin Farms. WE DO NOT SEND OR SUPPORT THE DELIVERY OF UNSOLICITED COMMERCIAL E-MAIL (A.K.A. "SPAM").
In order to receive an e-mail message that is part of a marketing campaign created by Algonquin Farms, you must have chosen to receive e-mail from us. To further ensure we have your consent, we make sure each e-mail we send you presents an additional opportunity to "opt-out" of receiving future e-mails. Thus, if you are not interested in receiving future e-mails from us, you may choose to opt-out.
We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to Algonquin Farms's services and products, such as service announcements, administrative messages, etc. that are considered part of your Algonquin Farms account or relationship, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them.
INFORMATION USE AND SHARING
Your information will be used to market opportunities to you and to inform you of products or services available from Algonquin Farms.
We will not rent, sell or share any personal information we gather from the Site to third parties except as indicated below or to provide information regarding the products or services you have requested.
There are other circumstances where your information may be shared with other parties for non-marketing purposes. The following describes the ways that your information may be disclosed in the normal course of business to provide our services.
We provide information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with Algonquin Farms under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help Algonquin Farms communicate with you about offers from us and or our partners. However, these companies do not have an independent right to use, share or sell your personal information.
Other Web sites and Your Privacy
Third Party Processors
We may occasionally send information about members of our database to third-party processors ("Third Party Processors") to organize, administer, process, append and/or analyze our data on our behalf. We may also use Third Party Processors to deliver offline materials to you. All such Third Party Processors are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to Algonquin Farms, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.
Legal Requests/Questionable Activities
Algonquin Farms cooperates with law enforcement inquiries, as well as other third parties to enforce laws, such as: intellectual property rights, fraud and other rights, and to help protect you from bad actors. Therefore, in response to a verified request by law enforcement or other government officials relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity, we can (and you authorize us to) disclose your name, city, state, telephone number, email address, usage history, IP address, access times and fraud complaints without a subpoena. Further, we can (and you authorize us to) disclose your name, street address, city, state, zip code, country, phone number, email, IP address, access times and company name to the appropriate authorities or other persons under confidentiality arrangements, as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, piracy, or other unlawful activity.
We reserve the right to transfer information about you if Algonquin Farms is acquired by another company (whether in a stock sale, a sale of substantially all of Algonquin Farms's assets, or otherwise) or merged with another company.
